How I got 500 subscribers for my side-project in 1 week

👋 Hello Indie Hackers!

I am Borja Soler from Barcelona (Spain). I would like to give some info and show my side project to all of you.

Let's start with the info:

I got 500 subscribers before launching my project in 1 week. I wanted to get some subscribers so I could launch the project and show it to a few people on the first day of launching.

I did this through Linkedin, and this was my strategy:

  1. I prepared 3 different things (content) that people could be interested in, for example, a financial projection for startups and examples of emails to do more sales

  2. I made it be downloadable, so if someone wants it, he has to subscribe to my newsletter to be able to have it

  3. I look at some growth hackers and the message they were using to attract more people

  4. I posted a message in Linkedin for each downloadable content, with 3 days of separation between each one

  5. I got like 90 000 views to my posts and +500 subscribers to my newsletter.

And that was it, I wanted to share it because sometimes it is not so difficult to get subscribers to your newsletter

Thank you so much!

I am happy to answer any questions you may have
