Hi!
I recently wrote a blog post (https://byteschool.io/post/getting-a-side-project-idea-my-story) on how I got the idea for my latest project and would love to hear some of your thoughts - was it a good or bad approach? What could I have done better?
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing your experience. I expect it's tough blogging about your struggles, but it's all in an effort to help those who can learn from it (like myself). I think you summed it up nicely in that creating a platform that relies on user interaction is tough to get started. I would think you'd need a big name podcast influencer in your corner working to promote your idea, or at least several medium-sized podcast hosts who agree with the idea. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your comment, I'm glad you liked the post and gained some insights! I have not given up yet, I think I am going to go for a "go wide or go home" marketing approach and report how that goes - I think that gaining those first early adopters is key.
Really enjoyed this, especially the “how do you” search trick. Great idea!
