Launching new product was a mix of excitement and anxiety. But, like any new product, the question was: How do we get people to notice it?
Deciding to Post on Hacker News
Hacker News is like the town square for tech founders, developers, and enthusiasts. I knew that if Workfeed could make even a small splash there, it could provide the initial traction we needed. After some thought, I crafted a post titled "Show HN: I simplified project management process with new tool (workfeed.ai)." The goal was clear: attract the curiosity of fellow tech enthusiasts and get them to try Workfeed.
The Day of the Post
I hit 'submit' on Hacker News and waited. The post garnered 11 points and sparked 5 detailed comments—a modest achievement, but significant for us. The best part? This single post drove 400 visitors to our site. Analyzing the traffic, I noticed that these visitors were genuinely interested, spending time exploring the features and some even signing up.

Wrapping Up
Getting your first users is a milestone for any startup, and platforms like Hacker News can be incredibly powerful tools in this process. For fellow founders, my advice is to understand where your audience hangs out and engage them there. Be ready for feedback, and use it to improve your product.
For those curious to see how Workfeed can streamline your project management, I invite you to check it out and let me know what you think!

This experience was not just about getting initial users but also about learning and adapting quickly. Every comment, every upvote, and every visit was a step towards refining Workfeed and making it what I envisioned it could be.
