Hey all!
For years I've built products, done 0 marketing, and gave up shortly after. I'm the type of developer that's very scared of posting their MVP somewhere, especially knowing that it's not perfect. Basically, I suck at marketing and I would much rather develop features all day.
I wanted to change that, so this time I tried to launch my app (Potion Pages) as early as possible even while knowing it had many bugs and imperfections.
2 weeks after I launched, I made the following post with a screenshot from my app on a Notion Facebook group I found (35k members):

Disclaimer: the tool is free to use but there is a paid plan ($36/year) with all features! It helps me in keeping all the sites running ๐
The post grew my app from 20 free users to over 100, as well as signed up my first 3 paid users.
The best part was that the Facebook group was super friendly, patient, and open to giving valuable feedback.
Basically, look at Facebook groups relating to your project and share a genuine post about your project! You might get your first paid users like I did ๐ค
