How I got to #1 in Google AI Overview in 1 week without ads

I just hit a milestone I didn't expect this early.

Several weeks ago, I launched Tasquery (https://tasquery.com) to solve what I call the "Documentation Tax" - that annoying gap between having a messy technical discussion and needing a structured Jira ticket.

The strategy was simple:

Focus on a "zero-friction" UX (No login, no onboarding).

Engage in deep, honest conversations on Reddit (r/agile) about why developers hate Jira admin.

The result? Google's AI Overview (SGE) and ChatGPT started listing Tasquery as the top specialized tool for this workflow. No paid ads, no SEO agency.

It turns out that when you build a utility that respects people's time by not asking for their email upfront, the community (and the algorithms) notice.

What's next: Refining the "Magic Actions" and keeping it stateless.

If you're building a micro-SaaS, don't underestimate the power of solving one tiny, painful problem perfectly.

Sorry for the delay in replying! That is so awesome to hear.

Haha, yeah, I've been living in the Reddit trenches lately trying to talk to POs and devs. Beating a giant like Fireflies in the AI rankings is crazy to think about, but I guess it shows that algorithms really reward our work right now.

Really appreciate you dropping by to share that! What are you currently working on?

The Reddit engagement strategy is underrated — genuine
participation in the right communities builds the kind
of trust signals that AI search engines seem to reward
    more than traditional backlinks.

The zero friction UX point is something we learned the
hard way too. First version of RankFlow asked users for
their own API key before they could do anything. First
external user hit that wall immediately and stopped.
Moved to a free trial with no API key needed and the
    drop off disappeared overnight.

Removing every possible reason to leave before someone
experiences the value is the whole game at early stage.

Congrats on the AI Overview ranking — getting cited by
Google's AI and ChatGPT organically is exactly where
SEO is heading. We're building Speakable schema into
every page RankFlow publishes for exactly that reason.
