I've been working on a social media scheduling platform Pallyy for the last 2 and a half years. It's been a slow burn that's for sure, but the moment we actually started gaining some traction was when I started marketing directly to potential customers on Instagram.
Once I started doing this, it snowballed from word of mouth and we ended up growing our ARR by 620% over the last 12 months.
Here's how I did it...
1. Find images related to my niche and look at the users who liked them
2. Engage with those people, like, follow or leave (meaningful) comments on their posts
3. If they end up following you back - reach out to them with a DM as it will go straight to their inbox. Nothing spammy, basically you just want to create a relationship.
I should also mention, I only did this for a handful of people per day. Doing too many would be spammy and potentially cause issues for your account, so I always took it slow.
And that's it! Just do this everyday, and the momentum builds over time.
