Many think that creating a profitable product is just about CREATING the product. In fact, it's more about how you market and sell your product before, during and after you've built it.
Learning from my past projects, I decided to do this one a little differently. Instead of one big launch all at once, I've been gradually building up anticipation and building in public.
I started building Dumbify, a minimalist iPhone launcher to combat phone addiction in public about 2 weeks ago. (Waitlist: https://tally.so/r/npKL8q)
The first week was brutal and I added a grand total of 0 people to my waitlist.
Over the past 2 days I've focused on generating buzz by investing my time in blogging, posting in related subreddits, and posting on Twitter.
One blog post, 2 tweets and 2 reddit posts later, I've grown my waitlist to 5 total people!
Sure that may not be a lot, but everyone starts somewhere. :)
Hey that's a 500% growth!
Yeah it was a significant milestone! We're now at over 130 if you can believe it!
