I just launched Carebell, and the initial data is surprising: a 22% Store Listing Conversion Rate.
In a world of bloated health apps, I decided to go the opposite way:
100% Offline-first (Privacy is not an option, it's the base).
No sign-ups or accounts required.
Zero bloat, just the essential utility.
I think the "No account" and "Privacy" focus is why the conversion is so high—people are tired of giving their data away just to set a reminder.
The challenge now: How to maintain this growth without sacrificing the "clean" experience? I'm currently experimenting with YouTube Shorts and Reddit for organic reach.
Would love to hear from other utility app builders! How do you handle retention for "quiet" apps like this?
