How I’m fighting "Subscription Blindness" with a privacy-first tracker (and why I don't link to banks)

Hi Indie Hackers! 👋

I’m working on Fridm, a project born out of a personal pain point: Subscription Inflation.

We’ve all seen it—streaming services or SaaS tools raising their prices by $1 or $2 without a clear heads-up. Most existing trackers ask for your bank login to "help," but I believe financial privacy shouldn't be the price of organization.

What I've built so far:

• 72h Pre-charge Alerts: A proactive warning system so you can cancel before the money leaves your card. 

• Price Hike Intelligence: We monitor global price changes to warn users about "silent" increases. 

• 100% Manual & Private: No bank links, no data-mining. Just a clean, manual dashboard. 

The journey so far:

I just launched the MVP and I'm currently optimizing the SEO (shoutout to the Seobility reports for the 79% score!). I've gained my first 20 users and 4 of them have already upgraded to Premium. 

My question for the community: How do you guys manage your recurring expenses? Do you prefer the convenience of bank syncing or the security of manual tracking?
