Great post! I timebox my 3-4 x exercise sessions at the start of the week and share them with my co-founder to know that time is protected

Even scheduling in routine walks has helped e.g. in the morning especially without a commute

Couldn't agree more. We become indies because we want to be independent and don't want to be restricted by routines and the 9-5, but that's exactly what we need to be productive. My work hours have been all over the place because I can work when I want now I'm my own boss and as a result, I'm accomplishing nothing. Structure is what I need but I'm so anti it. I've always said structure kills creativity but I think structure actually boosts creativity because you're telling your brain - now is the time to work.

Why is it we always need reminding to take a break? We all know the importance of good work-life balance yet it's not until I'm burnt out that I actually slow down, and only then because I'm forced to. Thanks for the reminder that balance is possible if we create the right routine for ourselves.
