How I Met My Cofounder, Karl

Karl is my cofounder— together we're building Atlist, a tool that makes it easier to build maps.

I made a video telling the story of how we got together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TERxAPH7eaE

It's not a dramatic story— there are no twists or surprising turns. Instead coming together was a slow but thoughtful process, made possible by a lot of trust in one another.

I'm hoping to share more videos on this Youtube channel about our journey to building Atlist. We're still very much a young company— we only have 22 paying customers right now! But our growth is encouraging (~1 new subscriber / week) and I think Youtube could be a good place to share our successes, failures and lessons.

Would love to know you think 😊

Thanks for sharing - nice to see others from Toronto! I just started thinking about the idea of finding a co-founder and it's tough!

Oh - this is so neat, I realized I was just looking at SiteBuilderReport the other day! Cool that you're onto your next project.

Hey that's awesome!! Always nice to hear from other Toronto Indie Hackers— did you ever attend the Toronto Indie Hackers meetup?

Hi, no unfortunately I only found this community recently. Doesn't look like there will be great opportunities to with in person meet ups mostly cancelled. Do you recommend going to the meetups?

I do! It's a wide range of people and I've found it to be really supportive and encouraging— the guys who run it (Johnny and Henry) are great.

... But yeah, who knows when we'll be meeting up in person again 😕

I enjoy watching your journey. Does your service have a big demand?
