Building a second brain has helped me stay consistent and organize my personal and business life!
I appreciate the recommendation of the book, although I have not had the opportunity to try it myself. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on it!
It's super good, really helped me organize stuff :)
Do you work with a system like this? :)
Super interesting!
Thanks for sharing.
very nice. Is Notion is the best tool for creating a second brain?
I recently created https://www.swizo.app/, which is a useful tool for organizing ideas if you want to try it out.
Thx for sharing - will check out the book. Are you 100% all-in on Notion? I looked at it but as best I can tell it doesn't have the backlink tracking aspect which seems pretty crucial for making sense of the web of connections. Two I'm investigating for this are https://obsidian.md/ and https://reflect.app/
Would be curious if anyone has thoughts on either of these apps or anyone knows if Notion is planning to add the backlink tracking aspect. cheers
notion does have backlinking: https://www.notion.so/help/guides/creating-links-and-backlinks
If you're looking for a tool to help with mindmapping and connecting ideas, I recently created https://www.swizo.app/, if you want to try it out.
interesting
Great info!
Thank you for your sharing @mikestrives
Do you have any Notion templates to recommend?
Loved the idea recycling part! Thanks for sharing Mike
For those curious about building a second brain, personal knowledge management and related topics, check out my blog; I regularly write about those: https://dsebastien.net
I've also created the Obsidian Starter Kit to help folks get started more quickly: https://developassion.gumroad.com/l/obsidian-starter-kit
Interesting concept (my first time seeing "Second Brain") and definitely will explore/read more about it (I'm a Notion fan myself :p) Thanks for the share!

Thanks! PS: fixed the URL :)
Do you use any notion specific features to make your second brain easier to navigate?
I think building a second brain will need to be as easy as writing a post-it note before it can achieve mainstream popularity.
My workspaces inevitably become a mess, and revisiting a topic is difficult - you have to explicitly search to find your previous thoughts on a subject. Unlike my own brain, there are no connections being made automatically.
I think semantic search is the solution. That's how our brain works - when thinking about something, the brain automatically finds related memories.
Love the book! Never tried it though.. thanks for sharing :)
Yeah, the book is great :)
