I have been building my legal document generator and for the last week was working on integrating a signing functionality. I first thought about Docusign. If you have ever signed a contract digitally, that is probably what you used. However, I ended up not going for the market leader of digital signature.
The main reason, is the front cost, I have been building this app in my corner (I read everywhere that you shouldn’t do that but well…it is difficult to not wait to have implemented just one more feature to launch) and I still don’t have regular customers, integrating API after API, the cost of maintaining the website start to add up. So I thought, it would be nice to have a pay as you go solution for the signature. DocuSign API access starts around 40$ a month, whereas, Sign Well offers 25 documents to sign for free (might be actually enough for the usage I have for now), and then 0.75$ per document signed.
So for now, I will be using Sign Well... Here is how it look, I think it still look quite professional. For people who have integrated Docusign in their product, what are your thoughts on it?
