Hi all
I run a small Reddit-focused marketing tool called MediaFa.st, built to solve a very specific pain:
"How do I market my SaaS or startup on Reddit without getting banned?"
I spent 8+ months testing strategies on alt accounts, getting suspended, reworking, learning the hard way. Eventually, I turned that experience into a tool that:
Finds the best subreddits for your niche
Schedules posts
Gives you karma-smart timelines (all generated on my exp and not on AI)
Helps you grow organically without spammy tricks and get traffic
Since launching publicly 105 days ago:
✅ $3,943 in revenue
✅ 100+ users and 11k + visitors
✅ Real results (12k+ karma, viral posts, traffic, conversions)
What worked for me so far:
Build in public (X/Twitter, Reddit,Linkedin) for marketing
Talking to users early and often
Simple pricing, no fluff
Sharing actual results (leaderboards + case studies)
Happy to answer anything about Reddit growth, making the tool, or the grind behind getting first $$$.
Let’s connect and if you're trying Reddit as a growth channel, I might just save you some headache 😅
Hey, love the idea, if you don't mind me asking, how did you manage to get karma early on, i tried, but i got banned before i could post anything, would appreciate your answer.
Try mediafa.st , you will get a roadmap that tells you when to comment, where, etc
Hey just subscribed but it's really buggy, the input fields aren't clickable, you have to press tab :|
How to avoid account been banned Reddit? It's too easy to be banned.
Use mediafa.st and avoid it
Great tool but seems someone is spamming this everywhere. That's good haha
What's the best way to market your product when you don't like doing marketing, instead just building
With money: hiring someone who likes doing marketing.
Without money: Partnering with a person who likes doing marketing and not building.
Where would you suggest to find marketers that might suit my products?
I missed your question. In this community, IndieHackers, you have a section to find partners (Link: https://www.indiehackers.com/group/looking-to-partner-up ). You can also search for Facebook groups; there are tons of them.
Hello,If you’re looking to turn early traffic into actual growth, I’ve helped other Web3/indie SaaS folks do exactly that.
Happy to DM you some ideas if you’re open to it
I haven't tried partnering with someone ever because I'm just learning things.. Will try to find someone while discussing like this or may be on reddit
Btw thanks for the advice, I liked it.
You are welcome, good luck with anything you are working on!
Thanks
try mediafa.st , marketing services on reddit are like 200$ bucks there.
This is a great idea — congrats on the traction!
I haven’t been banned on Reddit, but I often get heavily downvoted when I share my app, even when I try to post in subreddits meant for product sharing
Will try it out shortly
Lets goooo
Why do you take me to your X page when I click the MediaFast $200 Subscription?
Cause i normally talk to clients before we start etc, DM if you want to start
!!! I subscribed and the sign-in page doesn't appear to be functional dude? Please check?
I guess it was working innit ?
Really inspiring!
I interview indie founders like yourself on IndieHustle.co
Any chance of featuring Mediafa.st and sharing your story with around 35,000 monthly readers?
Sure why not
Superb!
You can reach me at the [@] IndieHustle.co
I can send you more information via Email.
Thanks!
Looks like this is really needed. I'm new to this, I've never really posted anything to reddit but I have an account I used to read posts. As soon as I posted a link to a cover letter helper that I created I got banned. I think Reddit pulls the trigger way to fast
Tbh, it's really important for people like me who doesn't like marketing at all, but don't have money either to get $200 subscription either.
Package option is much cheaper
Seems like a really useful tool, since Reddit is indeed really hard to 'conquer'. So, is your tool ai-based? will you explain how it works? like how it finds the right subreddits? keyword-based?
No, all events are based on my own exp
Reddit is for genuine users not spamers if you want to spam there waste of time
Typical reddit reply right here. There's a reason reddit is in decline. It's toxic there.
Facts
I like this, how do you get enough karma to avoid auto bans
Try mediafast and get a clear roadmap for that)
Thanks for the heads up
Yeah reddit is such a headache
Congrats on the commercial success! I hope your reach grows and more people can see what you are creating. Keep pushing!
Love the idea, I posted in some subreddits recently and noticed my post sometimes got removed very quickly or not posted at all.
May try MediaFast then haha
This is the kind of thing that will drive people away from IH. It’s a turnoff Allen Bro’s. You’re so much better than pedaling this crap (by pedaling I mean saw it in the newsletter, so maybe a curation fail?)
IH’s build stuff that people need. We don’t need hacky “tricks” haha 🙄
