How I stopped paying for Linear guest seats (and built a roadmap tool)
Hey Indie Hackers, I'm Yassine.
I run a small software agency and I love using Linear. But I had one major problem: Stakeholders.
Clients and non-tech founders kept asking "Is this done yet?" or "When is the update coming?".
The official solution is to invite them to Linear as guests, but that costs $15/month per user. For an agency with 10+ clients, that seat tax kills your margins. Plus, I didn't want them messing around in my internal backlog.
So I built a tool to solve it.
Meet Feedvote It’s a wrapper that syncs your Linear issues to a public-facing Roadmap & Feedback board automatically.
How it works:
You tag an issue as "Public" in Linear.
It instantly appears on your Feedvote board.
Clients can vote and comment without needing a Linear account.
When you close the issue, they get emailed automatically.
The Tech Stack: Built with Next.js, NestJS, NeonDB, and Resend. I just added "Project Filtering" this week, so you can map multiple Linear projects to one board and give each client a filtered view of just their features.
