Agreed, I remember making games at first because that was fun, then I wrongly venutured off into reading programming language documentation and I immediately checked out but forced myself to suffer throught it. Suffice to say I've only learned when it was fun and almost immediately forgot all that I learned through studying documentation / aimless tutorials.
