I've been living in Bangkok for the past year visiting Muay Thai gyms every single day.
Not as a tourist. As someone obsessed with documenting the real side of Muay Thai training in Thailand — the gyms Google doesn't show you, the fighters nobody interviews, the training culture most foreigners never see.
I built a YouTube channel around it: https://www.youtube.com/@fightlore
Then I noticed something.
Every week in Muay Thai Facebook groups and Reddit threads, the same question appeared. "Which gym should I train at in Thailand?" Hundreds of comments. Conflicting opinions. Outdated information. Sponsored recommendations dressed up as honest reviews.
People were flying 12 hours, spending thousands on their trip, and picking their gym from a blog post written by someone who visited once in 2019.
So I built FightLore+.
A directory of 100+ verified Muay Thai gyms across Thailand. Every listing based on a real visit. Real prices. Honest breakdown of who each gym suits — beginner, serious fighter, someone who just wants the authentic experience without getting ripped off.
One payment. $49. No subscription.
What I learned building it:
The product almost built itself. I was already doing the research. I already had the footage. I already had the audience asking the question. I just had to package the answer.
Distribution is harder than the product. I have more content than I can push out. Working on solving that now.
The niche matters. There are millions of people who train Muay Thai or want to train in Thailand. They are underserved online. That gap is the business.
Where it is now:
Early days. The directory is live. The YouTube channel documents every gym visit. The content and the product feed each other — every video builds trust, trust sells the directory.
If you're building something in a niche you're genuinely living inside, I'd love to connect with others doing the same.
Happy to answer any questions about the build, the niche, or the content strategy.
