How I validated my SaaS idea in 24 hours

I wanted a place to find the best services like DesignJoy, so I made https://subscribely.cc. It's a list of really good services that people run.

I usually use Ruby on Rails for coding, but this time I tried something different – Next.js. Why?

Because it's faster to make things and put them imo. Plus, I had my designs ready in components that works with Next.js, so it was quicker than using Ruby on Rails. I also wanted to try a new tool that lets you mix SQL with Next.js (but not with PHP).

In just one day:

  • I got 45 services added.
  • 4,000 people visited the page.
  • 53k impressions on X
  • Used up all my free traffic on typeform and vercel (had to upgrade).

Even more:

  • Things like searching and signing in don't work yet.
  • It shows that what you make doesn't have to be perfect to start.
  • Don't listen to people who say it won't work.

Validate first, build later!
