How I Went from #22 to #1 on Product Hunt in 13 Months

Over the past 13 months, we've launched three times on Product Hunt, ranking #22, #4, and #9. Today, we finally got something right and reached a position we've never achieved before: #1.

What follows are some details of our journey, which may be helpful for you:

The first time, we aimed to create an in-house Facebook. Although it sounded a lot like Yammer, I believed we had a new angle. So, we initiated our first launch 13 months ago, which ended in failure, landing us at #22.

I started incorporating "productivity" features and, of course, AI. Five months ago, we made our second launch and reached #4. While not bad, there was not much sustained interest afterwards.

Amidst anxiety and uncertainty, we lost our direction, continuously adding "productivity" features. We even foolishly positioned ourselves as an all-in-one solution combining "Notion + Slack," which resulted in a bloated product. Two months ago, we blindly launched again, ending up at #9.

The turning point came 2 months ago. A series of tepid Product Hunt launches forced introspection. We stripped Trickle down, retaining only its name, and began anew. Today, we're addressing an everyday issue that resonated with all of us: the chaos of managing screenshots.

Reflecting on our journey, it's clear that the essence of the startup spirit lies in adapting, evolving, and pursuing that 'Eureka' moment, no matter how winding the path.
