How I'm Trying to Get Users Who I don't Know

I recently finished building a product to an acceptable level. I and at least one friend love it, but it's not fully validated need. I'm trying to find users to try it so I can see how it's really used, if at all. This is a semi-incoherent article, just spilling my thoughts on how I'm going to find these users. If you have any impressions from this I'd love to hear.
