Every project with 10k stars had 20 stars one day. If you have a good trajectory and consistently keep receiving stars you'll attract more people to your project. I feel like starred projects are definitely boosted by GitHub somehow so the more stars you have the quicker you'll get more.

Hello! Congratulations on reaching 20 stars on your GitHub project! Stars on GitHub can be an indication of the popularity and interest in your project. While the number itself may not be extremely high, it's definitely a positive start.

Stars serve as a way for users to show their appreciation and recognition for a project they find valuable or interesting. It's a form of social proof that can attract more users and contributors to your project. Additionally, having stars can make your project more visible within the GitHub community and increase its chances of being discovered by others.

However, it's important to keep in mind that the number of stars alone doesn't determine the success or significance of a project. It's just one metric among many. What truly matters is the value your project brings to its users and the impact it has on solving a problem or meeting a need.

So, while 20 stars may not seem like a large number, it's a positive indication that there is interest in your project. Keep nurturing and improving it, and as you continue to gain traction, the number of stars will likely increase. Focus on creating valuable content, engaging with your users, and promoting your project through different channels to attract more attention.

Keep up the good work, and best of luck with your open-source side project!
