How indie hackers make money ? I want to know it

I really want to know how Indie Hackers make money?
it's crazy but for me, my indie projects are generating more gigs and freelance clients than I could ever sell
I started thebootstrappedway.com 2 months ago and generated roughly $500 so far in revenue ... BUT the content I'm sharing from this database, has already brought in $660 from an audit (2-3 days of work) + $1500 monthly retainer from the same client, and other 2 ongoing huge business opportunities
aside from this, I'm a full-time Demand Gen for B2B tech companies
This is a pretty broad question! (Maybe too broad?) Anyway, I once wrote a collaborative article with a half-dozen successful founders on how they weathered the financial storm in the months/years before their revenue earnings covered all of their living expenses.

Oh I see. Your question was ambiguous because "indie hackers" is both the name of this platform and the word we use to describe all the different entreprenuers on the platform.
The answer is we got acquired by Stripe years ago, so we don't make money.

Very rarely, when you ask "how to get more customers" the answer is "create more customers", at least at the indie-hacker level.

I think it's mostly non-profit, Stripe bought it, so they make money indirectly, because the more people creating businesses are there, the more online payments are done, the more potential customers for Stripe.
Heh unfortunately not through my indie hacks... I also just have a regular software developer job.
It's so hard to make enough money on a solo project to justify not getting paid by a company with a team full of sales people doing the part I don't want to do/have the skills to do

As Allen said it's a very broad question and there's not really a simple answer as it depends on a lot of factors.
Personally for me it's by having a job. I'm currently trying out various projects on the side to learn. If in the future something would gain traction then I'd probably transition to that but for now this is a bit further away.
I'm sure that you'd make a lot more progress if you would do it full time but for now I'm not ready to take that step yet.
