How indie hackers should launch products in 2026?

A lot of founders still treat product launches like a one-time event.

Launch day → post once → hope for traffic.

That strategy rarely works.

The best startup launch strategy today is launch stacking:

  1. Launch on multiple startup directories

  2. Build social proof through community voting

  3. Earn backlinks for long-term SEO

  4. Collect early feedback

  5. Repeat weekly for sustained discoverability

For indie makers, distribution is often harder than building.

That’s why launch platforms matter.

IndieHunt helps founders launch SaaS products, AI tools, side projects, and maker products through weekly community launches designed for discoverability.

If you're building in public and looking for better startup distribution, this is a practical Product Hunt alternative worth adding to your launch stack.

This is becoming the biggest lesson from my own launch. I spent most of my time thinking about product quality, but distribution turned out to be a completely separate system. A product can be live, indexed, and technically working, yet still have almost no meaningful discovery. I’m now treating distribution almost like a second product: measure each stage, find the broken step, fix it, then measure again.
