How is it that KeywordsEverywhere & Ubersuggest vary so much for the same term?

Search volume and CPC can be helpful in getting a rough sense of the search appetite, but I do not put much stock into them for this reason.
Lower-priced tools vary so widely depending on where they get their data, and even the big ones vary a ton too. None of it is accurate, it's all an estimate based on limited data.
Rather than drill down into individual keywords, I focus on questions.
Ranking for one question could net you dozens of keyword variations. For example, I wrote a blog post to answer the question 'why does Google show the wrong meta description'. Plug that keyword into an SEO tool and it might show 10 or zero searches per month.
That post gets me 700-800 organic visits per month. Definitely not the amount you would expect based on what a keyword tool shows you. That's because there are dozens of ways people phrase that question, and my post ranks for all of them.
Create content to rank for a question and it'll net much better results than trying to target an individual keyword.
Really great advice. I appreciate this!
No problem, glad it helps!
