Hey there,
Last year, I worked on a product that would replace the use of Notion. Notion is a great flexible wiki product, but it lacks productivity. I feel like I spend more time managing my todos or organizing my documents that I can't ever seem to find.
I did the thing that everyone has said not to do. I built the product first and didn't market it because I was still learning how to solve it. So, I spent a year iterating on that idea, and now I am ready to take my learnings and build the product that I believe can replace Notion.
Let me know your thoughts, and thanks in advance!
You're selling features, not benefits. Overall, your landing page looks good but as a potential customer, I don't see how this would benefit me.
I'd love to see real screenshots of your product instead of generic images. Even if it's low fidelity mockups it might be more valuable as right now I don't know what you're selling.
Sell me the dream. Show me the thing. Show me how I might use it.
How will you product help me? Will it save me time? Money? Will it allow me to get my stuff in order? Will it help me not forget important stuff? I want to know.
@martdi, thank you for the honest feedback. I agree with you that it lacks the product demonstration. Each section with the generic graphic will become a product image or gif, and I'll work on the benefits.
The design is very nice, looks clean and pleasant.
I do have some feedback regarding the content:
Like everyone else says: tell us about benefits, not features. But I'd add that your use cases section has the same problem. Don't tell me how to use it (that comes after I sign up), but tell me for what to use it.
Overall, I think the problem is you are not picking a niche use case. Notion is used for all sorts of things, but it is also big and has many users. I'd pick one thing that this does great, even better than Notion and really go after the people in need of that one thing.
Generally it's good if you can get a .com domain, but personally I don't think your name is catchy. It hurts to hear this (I was told that about my product name twice earlier today), but if you are going after a cool product with a cool name, you are at a disadvantage if your name isn't cool as well.
It's good that you are moving this project from secret to public. Hope you can figure out who your target audience is and get some feedback on the actual product itself. I may be your target audience as well, but the fact that the landing page did nothing to help me realize that, means you've got some work to do.
That's it from me. If you care to roast me back, here you go: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/roast-my-landing-page-i-will-roast-yours-6b35f5f999
I like the cleanness of your landing page!
My overall feedback is the same as everyone else that just commented: show your product benefits instead of features. I'd like to also add that since you are taking on an established player like Notion, you can elaborate on your landing page what problem you see in Notion, and how your product can solve it. People that also share the same frustration about Notion will resonate with you, and more likely to try out your product.
Keep up the good work!
@justnw, thanks and yes I agree with adding competitor sections.
Interesting @deanmraz! Congratulations :)
Some WOW factors
Some observations
0. There is quite a lot of white space on the landing/first section, which can be utilized to show some snapshots/mock UI of the product. And I think removing the Prodtype from the hero section would be better because visitors know we are in the prodtype website
1. Under the hero section "Your productivity workspace", instead of the subscribe message, if there is a small description of how does it help or benefit the users under this would be helpful I believe
2. Some content on how this product is better than the competitors?
3. It talks about the features/solutions offered stand point, but I think talking about what problem/pain points does it solve for the end-users would connect much more effectively with the visitors
4.A demo video possibly could be useful too.
Hope it helps!
@kamal_raj_sekar this really helps thank you! I’ll be working on this.
@deanmraz Glad you find it useful! Happy to help
Looks clean and I also would prefer benefits over features.
The product name in the navigation bar looks like the other regular links, I would assume if you highlight it there you might be able to remove it from the hero which would shift the attention on the hero more towards the content itself than the name.
@dtmzr, thanks for the feedback. I'll look into adjusting the nav and agreed I need to iterate on this and highlight the benefits / outcome of using this product.
I love this Neat and Clean (:

Thanks for the feedback! Product images and videos are coming in the next few weeks, but will take a look at the styling.
Dude, awesome awesome landing page, and I honestly mean that! All the best going forward with your product :)
