It is a significant challenge to come up as one of the first apps in search results in Apple App Store. App Search Optimization (ASO) is one of the methods to use for improving number of downloads or even impressions.
Let's say that you change the name of your app, or even keywords you used in the metadata of your iOS app.. How much time should you wait to see if your ASO efforts (i.e. updating app title, keywords, or app description ) are improving your downloads or impressions?
Is it just a few days? A week..? A month..? Or even more than that...? I would really appreciate you guys' input based on your experiences.
More than a month or two if I am 100% waiting for organic installs.
But I will not just wait for organic installs from the install because people who visits your app will look for number of installation and review to see if the app is worth installing or popular to even try.
So in starting I will try to get 50-100 installs and some reviews as a social proof. Then after that I will wait for organic growth after 1 or 2 months.
Thanks for your answer. As far as I know, people are able to see reviews but not able to see number of installs in App Store (different than Play Store). Or, did I miss that..?
If you have experience from similar activities, do you mind sharing some info on how numbers have changed for you in the first week, after 2-3 weeks, after a month, etc (if you remember such details)..?
