How long you build until you share on Indie Hackers?
Most of the times people will share MVP or products on here and most of the time the landing page, UI, whole flow of the product is just perfect. When I look at those products I feel like it’ll take me months and maybe even over a year just to get to that point.
I’m curious how long do you typically build for until you post on IndieHackers? During building? MVP? Post-paid users?
From day 0. The biggest differential and value of this community is how much people are willing to help and participate. And people want to read about others' journeys.
You might save days/weeks of work sometimes by just engaging in the right dialogue through here. Also, Ive heard stories of people finding co-founders and early customers through here. But that only happens if you share early and share often.

I am gonna try something. I don't know how it is going to work and I don't have any expectations actually I just want to try. I will build a micro saas end to end publicly live. It would probably be boring to watch but I can later split videos.
My biggest worry would be that I can't handle a task a simple one and look stupid. But, I thought most people are the same and what if I am an exceptionally idiot person. Who cares? This is my justification :)
So, why don't you share just now?
In one of my previous SaaS that I worked on, I waited too much and it now rests in Github no one knows about it. I made two mistakes. 1) I only focused on development. 2) I didn't get feedback. But that experience was probably necessary.
That’s very true. I’ve had many projects that just sits in github cuz I focused on development without asking for feeeback
I think it depends on what you are building:
I had the most valuable discussions when I was launched and pre-paid. Plenty of decisions to share with the collective IH brain!
Share early.
Use templates and UI kits to move faster.
I didn't wait to start sharing my journey on here. I had an initial post with "website under construction" to suggest I'm still working on my website. I personally enjoy reading through people's progress and journey over time. Especially when they start from the very beginning.
