How Many Initial Subscribers Means Worth Launching?

Starting to get the word out there about my newsletter, BetterDev - a 2x week email that provides a concise tutorial on a topic in software development. So far, i've gotten four people subscribed via my singup landing page, betterdev.carrd.co. Is that "enough?" Should i consider that a failure and drop it, or dive in and see if i can get some organic growth? Apologies for the rookie questions, i've never launched an email before!

Thanks!

When I launched Influence Weekly I said in 6 days I will send issue #1 if I have 1 subscriber.

    Just send it!

I ended up with 50 subs by the time I sent issue 1.

Yes, agree with @AndrewKamphey. I started a newsletter with 1 as well, just sending per gmail. When I noticed I was sending it to 22 people I made the shift to Mailchimp. It is not just about the number of readers, it is about the flow of writing, building, fine-tuning and repeating it regularly. The readership will follow.
And bonus with that very small number of readers: you have a very low curb to ask for feedback. ;)

(no sign up form on your site right now?)

Send it for a year and see what happens. You might be really surprised, but definitely take the time to fine tune your writing for the different aspects of the audience. I've been going for just over a year and I'm super impressed with what has happened. Don't be afraid to take breaks too.
