I'm building my app in the open and sending a weekly newsletter consistently, but I'm currently at 50 subscribers. I admit I haven't done much in terms of marketing, and I'm worried I will be launching my product into the "void".
I'm curious how many subscribers you had when launching and what kind of conversion rate you saw for your email list?
Do you have any tips for growing newsletter list?
Thanks!
I launched my newsletter with 1 subscriber only, which is myself.
It's always better to launch early. Sad but true but there's never a perfect number.
I often re-purpose my content on social media so that non-subscriber also get a taste of my newsletter.
It's better to launch sooner and start sending emails than holding out for that 'perfect' number.
If you look at app emails, they change dramatically over time. This is because either product changes, they understand more about what their users want in an email, etc.
The faster you start understanding what your users want, the better. "Great onboarding is built on a great understanding of your customer's goals!"
I agree with you, definitely not planning to hold out the product if it's ready, even if newsletter numbers aren't high enough. Thanks for the advice!
Hi @vadimdemedes, I just sent you some info and worksheet to your email address. ;)
Thanks, will check it out!
