How many side projects you have?

I've heard many people said to not count on one income and I think it should apply to side projects too.
So I was wondering how many side projects you guys have or are working on?
Myself have :

I'm spending waaay to much time on my single side project, https://midnight.pub - I can't imagine having a second one at the moment!

    1. 1

I can understand you! I was spending too much time on my first side project before started the second one, and it takes me almost two years to push offdesign online.

    2. 1

I love midnight pub, really well done

      1. 1

Haha glad to hear that! Thanks a lot!

I have Draftss.com with $9.5k MRR. Me & @JunaidBhai are streamlining the process and team so that it doesn't require our intervention.
Running Prospectss.com & launching its new version in the coming weeks.
Relentlessly building Artworkss.com (You all will LOVE this one!)

    1. 1

Looks awesome! Congratulations on reaching $9.5k MRR with Draftss! What strategies have you used to drive traffic and get people to sign up?

      1. 1

Majority of the customers come via Search, even though we are not ranking on the top position for our niche keywords.

I used to have a couple of half-assed ones then shifted gears to focus exclusively on https://bullish.email

    1. 1

Not your target audience but love the landing page. Simple & Straight forward.

    2. 1

Good that you've trimmed and focused.

Hey @ulrichgero love the side project vibes, my babies:

    Keen to hear your feedback

    Currently working on koderef.com
This is my first project :-)

  6. 1

I used to be a multi-project person, but now trying to stick to a single project: crowdproducers.com

@ulrichgero Your Kareeba design is cool, I love it.

And currently I have 3 side projects

    1. A newer version of Watermark.ink
    2. A simple set of image editing tools ResizeHere.com CropHere.com
    3. A profile pages site for my wife and her girl-team. https://knoww.me

BTW, your Kareeba link in the above message is wrong, its going to IndieHackers.com

    1. 1

Hi @prakis ! Thanks for your feedback. I will solve the link problem.
Resizehere is a good project, I'll try it this week-end

Right now its just one Remote Letter

    I have:

    • The main side project (https://tendship.com). Encrypted smart diary. It's on a bit of hiatus because I need to redo the marketing page and make it into a proper PWA. I use it everyday though and it makes me happy. It'll be nice if I did a better job of selling it so it could make others happy too some day
    • The side-side project (https://productcolors.com). Free tool to help people create color palettes for their apps and websites. The goal was to build something that was well scoped and had a definite completed state. I did 80% of the work in a couple of weeks. I need to finish the last 20% still and that has been taking forever.
    • The side-side-side project (no marketing site yet). A physical board game! Just doing it for a change of pace. Really hard to do anything with it with the pandemic going in and meeting people indoors is no longer vogue.
    • A possible side-side-side-side project? I want to build something even smaller than Product Colors. Something that I could do in a single "sprint" and walk away from it. A one-person hackathon sort of thing.
    1. 1

      Productcolors is just wow!

    2. 1

Product Colors is going straight to my newsletter buddy...

      1. 1

Awesome! Thanks for the attention ✨

  10. 1

I’m focusing on T.LY and Weather and trying to avoid the shiny objects 😁

  11. 1

I have 2, and soon will have 3. I’ll use some code and experience in building one of them to build my next project, which means it would take me less time and hopefully make it good enough.

    1. 1

Wow! I like your way, it like you are using that don't repeat yourself for codes to start a new project... and that way, you will spend less time building them.

  12. 1

    Currently have 3:

PathRoute is getting the most of my time currently because the other two are already at a great feature point. Need to add a couple of more to PathRoute then marketing!

  13. 1

    I have 3.

1 By myself: Colors & fonts
2 By myself the newsletter from Colors & fonts
3 Started to work alone on Wicked Templates then I started to work with @3rChuss. So we are two funders.

    1. 1

      Great man! I'm secretly C&C user :)
I'm currently trying to start writing a newsletter for offdesign.co, but I'm completely now focused on redesigning the whole project.

      1. 1

Ohhh it was you doing the question...

        Didn't saw that coming.
I actually like a lot the actual design of offdesign to be honest.
Thanks for using it. Let me if you have some feedback.

And let me know when you launch the newsletter.

        1. 1

          Thanks Mike!
Colors&Fonts is well designed and structured according to me. Nothing else to add.

  14. 1

I'd love to have more on the go, but since there isn't enough time!

Under Cloud is the major focus at the moment.

    1. 1

I love your landing page. It explains very well your product. Good luck.

    1. 2

@akcium I wonder why do you call your app Pinger while your domain name is Pingr. Sometimes it confuses that your domain name maybe pinger.io not pingr.io
      Just a feedback.

      1. 1

yeah, indeed. This was because I like "Pinger", but the domain was taken :(
Don't know if I should rename to Pingr or not...

        1. 2

Currently your domain name and product name are not matching, not good.

Few months back I almost started with website crash notifier service and I also brought a domain for it ( Humpty.io ). Now we are more or less not going into that market.

During that time my wife and I thought Pingr.io is such a perfectly suitable name for its service. Its short, one extra character to the word 'ping' and its .io that is even better for developer world.

          1. 1

Oh, well, I think I'm going to rename it then, indeed!
            Thank you for your feedback

    2. 2

It's one but it well designing and catch user attention soon they land on the front page. Well done.
