How many testers/users checked your MVP?

At https://focusity.space/ we finished our MVP few days ago.
For past 2 months we collected signups on waiting-list, outreached to dozens of people and attended some startup events.
Right now we have >100 people on our list. Maybe not all of them are ideal customers, some just wanted to try but still.

How do you let your early users/testers in?
All at once, in some cohorts? I sent access codes to about 20 people. Most of them said that they need a few days to check it but soon I'll get feedback.

Should I:
a) let more people in
b) wait for first feedback, upgrade and then send it to next cohort of 20 people?

What do you think? How did you let people in and how many users/testers did you have at early-stage?

    Hi!
It looks like a product that requires (or at least is designed) for multiple people to participate together. Do you know if your list of people are planning to use it with friends? mastermid groups? work? I guess the first cohort may not be ready if they have to dedicate time getting people together to sign up?

Is there perhaps a way you could think of preparing the next cohort in a different way? Such as a way you could maybe also help each person onboard the people they want to use it with? (Almost help them in a group rather than just hope the individual rallies people together?) For example, can they give you a list of emails of the people they want to use the tool with so that you could email them and say Hi X, X would like to invite you to try Focusity with them. ... benefits...etc.

Not sure - just an idea! I can imagine any tool where someone is required to get another group of people on board to maximise the benefits - will just naturally take longer.

There isn't a perfect number and it really depends on your target audience.

Personally (and I've come from a research background), it really depends on you as an individual. How comfortable do you want to be in your product and idea?

Obviously, 1 person validating your product isn't going to give you much hope. But 50, 100 could do.

Other people may be happy with 30.

What i am trying to say is, there are a lot of articles out there to say, you need x number of people to validate your idea.

    That is BULLXXXX!

You should do what makes you super confident in your idea to move forward with it.
