8. Adobe CC - USD 659.88/y (Help me get rid of this guys!)
Help me get rid of Adobe CC! I am looking cheap alternatives to After Effects, Photoshop and InDesign mostly.
Whoops. I realized...this is how much I'm spending to keep my business going. I run a design & strategy service for web, app and brand design. 😆
Adobe is really expensive but there are not many alternatives which can compete with same amount of tools... 🥺
:( It's soooo incredibly expensive. Subscribing to individual products makes it even worse too. I have no clue what to use instead of After Effects especially. It's incredibly well-padded out as an app.
They made it that way so nobody can compete with them when it comes to creativity tools.
ngl, am abit surprised there's no browser based equivalent for Adobe CC at all? I mean sure GIMP and whatever not. They still aren't Figma. Figma came in really strong and I even use it for vector illustrations!! 😆
GIMP is not bad for open source software I do use it from time to time for certain tasks, and you can see what Adobe did to protect market dominance, they just bought Figma to keep the number one spot for creativity.
I was soooo nervous when they bought Figma! It's my bread and butter and if they absorbed it into Adobe CC....*shudders
I'll give GIMP a go. I think it might just be plain ol' anxiety - been using PS for a decade and a half and letting go seems hard. I'm mostly using it for mockups and post processing 3D renders.
GIMP is not as robust for heavy tasks but it can do some decent job. As for Figma they need to keep it as it is, all they needed is to keep the control over it because it was taking the market by storm.

Of all 4, to me Midjourney gives the best ROI, as first three are passive must-haves, while artistic creatives are something I oftentimes draw inspiration from)
Midjourney is indeed the best value for money.

As a freelance programer and indie in one person I am paying only for AWS, Figma and Adobe Cloud. But I am creating free tools on my ownas side project so I am a not good respondend :D
