We recently shipped an MVP of our product and I've been writing some content to help get the word out there but we're only seeing a few users signing up per week. Is this normal?
We're not really pushing hard on the marketing front, but I've only had experience with established start ups where we see 000's of users per day 😬
Did you create customer personas? - https://www.smartkarrot.com/resources/blog/what-is-customer-segmentation-in-saas-and-how-is-it-useful/
Yeh, I'm not really a fan of traditional personas. I prefer to focus on the jobs to be done users have, which are caused by their situations as opposed to demographic data.
We have thought through the jobs people might hire Here for :)
depens on the product, audience, niche, market size. Add context so we can imagine)
Good point on the context 🤣 - our product is a journaling platform for anybody who needs to create space for mental clarity. So I think the market size it pretty big, but I guess the challenge is in educating people on the benefits of journaling and the exercises we provide, that's why I've been focusing on the content side of things.
Also would love any advice on this too if you have any insight :)
In my opinion: niche down, if the product is for everybody, usually that means for nobody:) how do you attrack users now? By the way, I still don't understand what you are doing, how you are helping people and what they are getting from it
We make it easier for people to get their journaling habits started with our prompts and exercises.
We've seen that while a lot of people know of the benefits of journaling, it's actually quite difficult to get started and even when you do it can still be difficult to get real value out of it.
Our goal is to offer a fresh perspective on your life and give you space to process thoughts and feelings from the stresses of day-to-day life.
(I appreciate you asking too btw, it's really useful to have to clarify what we're actually doing! Does the above make sense to you or do I need to work on it?)
