How necessary is it to make extra pages aside from the landing page for idea validation? What kind of pages are necessary?

You can fit it all on one landing page. We tend to overthink our websites in the early stages, but marketing and content are more important.
My worry is that anyone who looks deeper will not find anything and don't think it's legitimate enough or developed enough. Isn't that a problem?
