The 2015 Salesforce Annual Report announced that they had more than 150,000 customers, and for some reason this is the only figure which seems to be available anywhere, even today - 7 years later. As a very rough estimate we can say that as Salesforce was making $5.5B in 2015, and around $21B in 2021, they have around 4 times as many customers in 2021 (ignoring price rises), so around 600,000.
Let's say each customer has an average of 20 users, that's a total of around 12 million users. If we charged $20 per month for our app, and we estimated we could sell it to 1 in 10,000 users, our revenue would be 1200 x $20 = $25k per month.
And don't forget, the base Salesforce licenses aren't cheap so these companies are used to paying out for quality services. For the bigger companies they may be spending $50-$100k+ every month for 1000 or more users, so adding on your monthly fee for something to make them more money or save valuable time isn't too offputting.
These are just back-of-a-napkin calculations so don't treat them too seriously, my main takeaway would be that the market is potentially huge if you can find something people want.

I'd agree. One of the biggest problems with what imho too many people are trying to build products for ecosystems that cater to freelancers/one-man shows, instead of B2B where the real money is.
