    7 EUR per month.
That's for the second smallest VPS at Hetzner (CX21) with 4GB of RAM and virtually unlimited bandwidth. The costs don't break down any further but include backup of the server too.

    On it I host:

    • two Postgres databases and a MongoDB instance
    • 10 apps using Dokku (arguably none receive a very high amount of traffic)
    • a VPN server

    Pretty good value for money.

I have the lots of digital ocean free credits from YC StartupSchool, I used to host my apps there with caprover but it turns out to be too much setup and maintainance. The instance would cost me 10 Euros a month if I had to pay for it.

Now I keep my databases on DO (cheaper than cloud SQL) and hosts my apps on Google App engine. Which is costing 0 Euros for now
