How much is your business paying in bank/payment fees?

Hey hackers!

I've had a few companies ask for better insight and transparency over their banks’ and payment provider payment fees.

I’d love to get your feedback on a new tool we’ve built to help with that: Fee Calculator (rebanknow.com/fee-calculator). It’s still an MVP, and your input will drive the next iteration of this!

  1. Are bank or payment provider fees a problem for you?
  2. Does the report accurately represent the fees you are paying?
  3. Will you make any decisions based on the results?
  4. What else would you like to see in the report?

For businesses with international customers, payment fees compound fast. Stripe is typically 2.9% + fixed fee, plus currency conversion on top. For high-volume businesses that adds up to serious money annually. The structural alternative that's been gaining ground is stablecoin payments (USDC or USDT) where the only cost is network gas (cents on Base or Polygon). No percentage fee, no currency conversion, instant settlement. The tradeoff is that your customer needs to hold crypto, which limits your addressable market today but is growing. Worth tracking as a line item even if you're not there yet.
