How much is your vibe-coded app actually costing you?

Most founders I talk to know their Cursor or Lovable subscription cost. $20 a month. Maybe $50.

That is not the cost I am talking about.

I mean the hours. The Tuesday afternoon spent chasing a session bug the AI introduced two weeks ago. The Saturday morning debugging an auth error you cannot fully read because you never fully wrote it. The feature that should take two days and takes nine because nothing in the codebase connects the way you think it does.

If you put a number on your own time, even a conservative one, and multiply it by the hours per week you spend maintaining what you built instead of talking to customers, the number is uncomfortable.

Cursor Pro is $20 a month. A founder's hour spent not selling, not validating, not acquiring is worth far more than that.

The apps that die are almost never killed by bad code. They are killed by founders who ran out of market understanding because they spent too long building.

How many hours a week do you spend on your own product's technical side, and do you think that time is actually moving the business forward?
