How much money have you invested in your blog?
I’m curious to hear from other bloggers on how much money they have directly invested in their blog (domains, hosting, premium services, website design, freelance help, plugins, etc).
$50? $500? $5,000? $50,000 $500,000?!?!?
Pretty much anything invested besides content itself (as this would likely skew the cost up for those that outsource virtually all of their content). Although I’d love to hear a ballpark number on this if you feel comfortable sharing :)
I am somewhere between $500 and $5000 (for example on a blog that is roughly one year old) but the roi on the few purchases I do make are so high (saving me so much time, increasing content production, etc. so they are very easy to justify).
Then again, I don’t use paid ads so I could imagine someone potentially spending huge amounts on successful ad campaigns.
Just curious to learn more about other bloggers on IH!
I haven't invested anything directly in my Blogger blog. The only indirect expense is the cost of a Namecheap domain, i.e. a dozen $, for the domain of my personal website I use also for the blog's subdomain.
The lack of investment is not because of cheapness, it's just that I don't think other expenses would be useful at this stage.
I think that one of the things that really helped me was the ability to install a personalization tool that helped me increase conversions. And by that - pages per session, session duration. I enabled Google to post ads on my site which increased by the time as my business objectives got better - resulting more traffic, more visitors, and eventually more money.
I invested on Twik tool roughly about 300$ a month including the service and traffic. And I see great results. From 500$ income, within almost 1 Year I got up to about 2K$ thank to it.
