How Much Should I Charge for Advertising on My Website?
I launched nomadicteachers.com this week.
It's been 72 hours and 312 international teachers have become members.
Earlier today, I reached out to a tax expert that specializes in doing taxes for international teachers to help complete my own taxes. I also mentioned my site to the tax advisor, which is comprised of exactly the clientele that he helps. He said, "With regard to the advertising, I would be very interested in doing so."
He also said, the average price a client pays to get their taxes completed by him is $350.
My site could be an excellent source of new clients for him.
My question is, how much should I charge him for advertising on my website?
Btw, I asked about a referral link, and it sounds like he's not able to provide one.

What about a pay per lead where you collect the coordinates for him, and forward them to him.
If the average transaction is around 350, you can probably charge around 35-50 per lead.
And if at some point he stops paying, you can probably find another accountant willing to pay for those leads, whereas if it's an affiliate link it's a bit more complex.
I agree this is a great way to start. You can use form to email services like mailthis.to to start quickly to test waters.

This is how I would go about it. You would have to negociate a deal with the tax advisor, for instance when/how you get paid and how you send the lead to him, but that's the gist of it.

Hi Celalsur, thanks for your response. Can you walk me through a little what pay per lead template looks like? Do you create a form, and what info do you ask for up front? And also, doesn't the user prefer to go directly to the site of the sponsor - in my case a tax advisor? To eliminate this, do you just not put the info to the sponsor's site? Is there a way that the form gets sent to the tax advisor, but I can still see how many people submitted their info, or do you generate a CSV file and send it over every day/week/? As you can see, I have a number of questions.
