While building dictozo.com I try to gain and share as much as possible. But frankly speaking, some posts are so long that I ended up bookmarking them and never see again.
I don't want to go into endless timeloop here, so usually I put on 30 minutes timer to engage.
This 30 minutes sometimes feel like too less that I can only understand 2-3 posts and connect with a couple of people.
What is the best way to improve this?
More than i'd like to admit. Totally better than reddit
I'm here for almost 1 hour a day, it's really inspiring to read success stories, or respond to people asking for opinions, I always try to help when I can
I'm here a few times a day. I like the vibe around here better than what I found on r/startups etc.
Surely. Same reason here as well.
I check IH almost daily. Skim through what's new and what is popular.
As my motive here is to share as well. which takes long time.
So you don't engage with posts .. right ?
I do engage with posts. A lot. From the top of my head I'd say that the ratio of posting too commenting is easily 1:30. I find commenting a lot easier and faster, often also more specific, than spending the time on a post.
Spending 5 mins a day on a few comments has a lot less friction than spending 30+ minutes on a post per week.
Quite a lot actually. But sometimes its quite distracting especially if I am at the beginning of a project it feels like all the ideas/projects on indiehackers are way better than what I am working on.
It felt the same for most of us.. just try putting questions and you will be comfortable
I'm also here for about 30 minutes a day. Usually, I go through the posts on the newest tab and the first page of the popular tab and just open up a few that I'm interested in reading.
I'll here from now on. I'm trying to adapt to the platform.
I'm here a few times a day.
Switching between different platforms actually requires a lot of effort.
In my case I think I spend 30-45 minutes on IH
check almost everyday, about 1 hours totally
