How much would you pay?

I’m trying to come to an appropriate price for my app, Dumbify.

Dumbify is a minimalist launcher for iOS that seamlessly blends into the background of your homescreen. The minimalistic design is intended to reduce your screen time by keeping your homescreen clean and clear of notifications.

My questions for you...

1. Would you rather pay a one time purchase, or a recurring fee?

2. What would you consider to be "too expensive"

3. What would you consider to be "too cheap"

4. What would you consider to be a "fair price"

P.S. Something to consider is that I will not be monetizing the app with ads as I believe that would break the user experience.

Example Response

  1. Fixed
  2. $10
  3. $0.99
  4. $3.99

Any feedback is always welcome, and if you are interested in the product, I have a waiting list: https://tally.so/r/npKL8q

The pairing of 'runs locally' + 'no API keys' is undervalued positioning. It speaks to the technical buyer who has already been burned by SaaS tools that changed pricing, added rate limits, or went down at the wrong moment.

The one-time purchase model makes sense when the tool does a defined job well. What's the job this tool does?
