How Much Would You Pay for a Custom Thumbnail?

Hello everyone!

I'm starting a YouTube thumbnail creation service, and I'd like to get some feedback from the community. Creating eye-catching and high-quality thumbnails is an essential part of growing a YouTube channel and increasing viewership. I want to make sure that my service offers exactly what content creators are looking for at a reasonable price point.

That's why I've put together this short survey to get your feedback on the following:

  1. Have you ever paid for a YouTube thumbnail creation service before?

  2. How important is the quality of your YouTube thumbnails to you? On a scale of 1 - 10.

  3. How much time do you spend creating YouTube thumbnails for your videos?

  4. How much would you be willing to pay for a custom YouTube thumbnail?
What factors would you consider when choosing a YouTube thumbnail creation service?

  5. Have you ever used a template or pre-made thumbnail for your YouTube videos?

  6. How much would you be willing to pay for a YouTube thumbnail package (e.g. multiple custom thumbnails)?

  7. Would you prefer to pay per thumbnail or pay for a package of thumbnails?

  8. Would you be interested in a subscription-based thumbnail creation service?

Thank you in advance for your time and feedback.

Hey, if you need any help with this idea feel free to reach out. One of my early hustles was as a graphic designer creating thumbnails for top creators, and I worked by doing one-offs to being on retainers. The landscape for thumbnails now is hotter than ever as a lot of creators are beginning to focus on Youtube (ie. YT Shorts), meaning there is a larger need. I am actually building an AI SaaS startup for creators to centralize and automate their Youtube strategy. Thus being said, either model can work for you-- I would recommend a subscription model. The average rate that most Youtube content studios are paying per thumbnail is upwards of $100 (I've been paid close to $300 for a single thumbnail before), which in that case you can do the math to figure out ideal pricing points for you. It also depends on the complexity of your work and your time to value. Hope this helps.

This helps. And is there a way to reach out?

I like the fact that you focused on a very niche service. I wouldn't mind paying 10-15 dollars for each thumbnail depending on the details of work. Perhaps packing it in a way for example up to 50 thumbnails "x" price would be a better approach. What do you think?

Thank you for your feedback on my niche service. Your suggestion of offering a pricing package for a certain number of thumbnails is interesting.

I believe bundling a specific number of thumbnails at a discounted price could be a great way to provide value to my customers. It allows for flexibility in choosing the number of thumbnails while still offering a cost-effective option. I will consider implementing and make changes to see what works.
