How much would you pay to solve your project's biggest need?

For example:

  • My project's biggest need: Finding a technical cofounder
  • Why I need this: I'm manually solving my customer's needs, and I can't scale without technical help.
  • How much I'd pay: $250
  • My stipulations: Things went well for three months.

Let's say that you only paid if your need was solved. So, in this case, you'd only pay $250 if you added a technical cofounder. And whatever stipulations there might be around the need being actually "solved". So, you'd also only pay if things working out for three months.

If you wouldn't pay anything for the need, your answer would just be $0.

Thank you so much for your help! ❤️

I'd pay $100 for every recurring customer I could get. Probably $200.

Honestly, just doing this quick excercise was really helpful for me to frame my own mindset around marketing! Thank you @nprimsa

Oh heck yes, @Grendorf! I'm glad that it could be helpful.

Just curious ... which of your ventures would this be for? I'm curious to learn more about the product!

For Insights Web Analytics, looking at people's analytics and helping them grow their companies. I've got a few customers at $100/mon. And its interesting to think about ads here because I've always felt like paying a couple dollars per click was so high. But it really wouldn't be if I could convert every 50 clicks.

What are you working on that you have customers and need a technical cofounder for?

        1. 1

Oh, I have a technical partner! I wrote that post poorly. It meant to just be an example.

We're working on something, but we aren't quite sure where we're heading. And that's just the problem, Jeremy. We think a piece of it might involve helping folks get what they need (for a bounty). So, in this case, you saying, "Hey Earth. Get me a customer, and I'll pay you $100." Because you're right, what's the point of paying for clicks? What are you going to learn from clicks? That makes no sense.

I'd imagine that you're super busy building Insights Web Analytics, but I'd love to talk for 15 minutes to figure out if we might be able to set up an experiment together.

Might it be okay to share my calendar link with you here?

And zero worries whatsoever if not :)

Oh yeah, I'd be happy to chat.

Interesting problem, I think about it a lot.

I got lucky with my co-founder.

That IS very lucky news, Volkan. Heck yes.

I'm curious then, for you ... for Versoly (and hey! congratulations on such an impressive Product Hunt showing), what's the biggest need that you're currently stuck on? (And would you pay to solve it?)

      1. 2

Fixing our conversions, but not sure we would pay for it at the moment.

Trying to learn everything ourselves so we know we're hiring legit people.

        1. 1

Gotcha! That makes total and complete sense. Fingers crossed that you're able to fix your conversions. Good luck, Volkan! 🤞🤞
