How my Newborn helped me come up with my Startup Idea.
How did I come up with my Startup Idea?
Earlier this year my son was born and before I knew it I had a ton of people asking me for pictures of him. The issue was, my wife and I were taking so many pictures it was hard to keep up with the ones we wanted to actually share with others, not to mention having to search through all the photos is a headache in its self.
That's when I had the idea of being able to save things to your devices keyboard so that you can share them whenever you need to. In my case I would save my favorite photos of my son to a Shortcut on my Keyboard so when my family asks for updated pictures, I can quickly send them.
ZoZo's Focus:
I'm looking to help people save time when sharing the information they're constantly sharing. With ZoZo you can create Keyboard Shortcuts for photos, links, text phrases or files. Creators would love ZoZo, they can use it to create Keyboard Shortcuts for the links to their Social Accounts, latest Posts / Tutorials, etc.
Your Data & Privacy are safe:
The best part about ZoZo in my opinion is that we don't require you to create an account to start using it & we also don't store or use any of your data. EVERYTHING YOU DO IN ZOZO IS SAVED TO YOUR DEVICE!
Challenges I faced building ZoZo:
I'm a designer who is still learning how to code, which restricted me from building this earlier. Luckily I connected with a professor at the University Of Albany who was running a student development program where the students would build an app in a semester and present it for a final grade. I was able to get our first demo of ZoZo earlier this year, I then connected with a developer on Twitter who wanted to enhance the current state of the product. This dev worked on the app at no cost (to this day idk how I got this lucky) and we were able to officially launch ZoZo into the App Store 5 months late on 9/28/2022.
The Team:
Right now it's only me, but I am looking for teammates / cofounders. We can't pay as of yet so I'm looking for people that believe in what we're doing and are willing to work for free until we can pay ourselves!
Launching ZoZo:
Launched ZoZo on 9/28/2022 in the iOS App Store, followed it up with a Product Hunt launch a week later where we finished #3 Product of the day on Product Hunt!

Since we've launched we've had an overwhelming amount of positive feedback. We've been featured on Apple Insiders Podcast, Youtube Tutorials & Mashable.
