My partner and I have spent the last 5 months building a tool to track and automate compliance within the property management space. We have 2 property management firms that we are on boarding to beta our product. My partner personally knows the owner and CEOs of these companies as he used to work for them, so these sales were from very warm leads.
We want to start reaching out to other property management firms to demo our product and garner interest in the beta, or even a letter of intent so that we can gain confidence in what we have built and make sure the features we have today, and the features on the roadmap, are what customers want .
However as of now, while we have a functioning app, we don't have a domain name, landing page, or a video. Do we need these resources to reach out and pitch potential clients? Or can we get away with reaching out to other pm firms and trying to immediately schedule a demo of our app?
No you don't need it RIGHT now, but you definitely will very soon. The moment you start getting validation for your product, you need a public facing page that talks about what it does.
It also depends on your messaging. If you're reaching out and saying "help me try out my beta," then you can get away with not having one.
My honest recommendation though; get a domain and put up a simple landing page. Even if it's just an email form for them to get notified.
Best of luck with the demos!
Ok thank for the feedback! I'll look to get brainstorm a domain name and fire up a landing page to collect emails
Awesome!
