How often do you pay attention to your competitors design?

Hi everyone đź‘‹

I have just launched my project Uxanalytic.com, its a platform built to help
designers/devs to analyze products and find reusable UI/UX solutions. We have broken down digital products into pattern components so that you do have a micro-level view of the building blocks that shape our favorite product such as Spotify and Netflix.

So I'm curious about how often you pay attention to your competitors designs structure? As we want to help creators gain valuable insights about their competitors!

I tend to pay attention to competitor's features more than design. That being said, I have definitely tried out multiple competitors and tried to feel out which designs are more intuitive for certain parts of my app and which have better UX than others.

On the other hand, I use all sorts of different software products, so I pay attention & take inspiration from any design that feels really intuitive or has a really clean look regardless of if they're my competitor or not.

    Anyways that's where I'm at! :)

      Hello
Thank you so much for taking the time to responding cheers for that 🍻! Nice to know that there are creators out there analyzing and drawing inspiration from real world product!

Agree with you about the importance of features, as it can make a difference on the overall experience! I’m really glad you brought it up as we are currently working on how to display those details into our product! So hopefully this is something that we can share with you in the near future. When it comes to features do you have a preference on the type the device it’s on (Mobil app, website etc) or it doesn’t really :)

Also feel free to reach out with any questions or ideas - I'd love to hear from you, thanks
