How old were you when you made your first dollar from your own business?
by
Brandon Strellis
How old were you and how'd you do it?
35 with wickedtemplates.com and I just sold it.
What's next then!?
I got accepted to a programming degree, so I will do that for the next two years and I willbuild small one time purchases products....like the one I am doing now, which I will soon launch.
I build in public, feel free to follow my twitter 😁
Awesome!! Kuddos!
Muchísimas gracias!
I was 19, made some Alexa skills that ended up getting super popular, and got a bunch of monthly royalties from it. Ahh good times
19, with embedtables.com, and I sold it
I was 15 when a friend and I created a browser extensions that achieved 4M users in few months… it was in 2011 and the adv paid us quite bad, but great experience
when I was 18 years. I made my first puzzle game and got sell ; )
Technically not a dollar, but I did a deal to make a website in exchange for a full Microsoft package, including the amazing Front Page back in 2001 at 11.
12 when made my first 30 euros (and euro was not there yet) by making osdhotkey, a tool written in the awesome autohotkey language
Tenho uma agência de marketing e tecnologia e estou buscando alternativas para oferecer meus serviços fora do Brasil.

Are you hiring? I'm a junior developer, looking for the first opportunity.
When I was 14, I created a shop on SecondLife that sold t-shirts I designed on photoshop. I made some fake money, which I then converted to real money
Did you hold on to the domain? Now https://secondlife.com/ is like a huge VR place!
Oh, I meant a shop within secondlife, back when everyone was playing it. Didn't know they're still around and pivoted into VR, makes total sense though!
In 2001 I built a bot for diablo 2 which i used to sell in game items for cash. I was 9.
It was written in Erlang (only book from the library) and was written entirely in a single file, it was perhaps the most awful code to have ever existed. CTRL+C was my design pattern of choice.
At the age, what kept you motivated to push through, build, be curious, and learn? As a teacher, who came from a background of teaching himself audio engineering, I did similar learning practices, but I am struggling to inspire my students to do the same!
Motivation wasn't really something I was cognisant about. It was fun.
