How one Indie Hacker inspired me to launch my own app

I've been playing with APIs for years and I knew that one day I would build something useful and profitable but nothing really stuck.

I started following @RealAjayGoel and his product GMass that uses the Gmail APIs to send bulk emails. I was really impressed and a little jealous of the idea and execution.

It came to me that if GMass is like Mailchimp for bulk emails all sent within Gmail then I could build something that was like Drip for email sequences using the Gmail APIs as well.

That's what I've done.

I've now build the website and server application for building sequence email campaigns and sending via the Gmail APIs. I still have to wait for Google to verify my app and the APIs I use, but I'm excited enough to say today is day one and https://gstep.io is open.
