How should I price my SAAS product?

Hey fellow hackers,

I've been working on building out the MVP of my app over the last 2 months, and I'm at a stage where I've started thinking about pricing.

For context, the app is a workspace-based (like Slack) product management tool to help teams organise their products, features, tasks and align their releases.

I was initially thinking of pricing it along the lines of Figma, free until there exists a certain number of users (~3-5) in a workspace, at which point the Workspace Owner would pay a subscription (~€8) per user.

Interested to hear your thoughts on this, or whether you have any other recommendations as to how you like things priced.

Thanks a million!

What did the people you talk to say they would pay? Also good 4 pricing questions for SaaS. The go like how much would be too much, how little would seem too cheap....

I haven't been specific about my questioning so far, though the general sentiment is encompassed in the following: "If your looking for self managed team's, then your talking college / startup / personal projects. Inherently this will demand a low price and would be more of a BC2 model then a B2B. Your going for scale here."

But your idea on the 4 pricing questions is a great one. I believe something similar was done for Superhuman so will follow up on that with users for sure
